Blue heels: River Island / Dress: Simon's / Purse: Shein / Earrings: J. Crew
Sunnies: J. Crew
Well, hello there spring! After a long dreary winter it's way too easy to continue to reach for those neutrals like black, tan or grey. I still catch myself reaching for those more dreary winter colours when putting an outfit together but stop myself when I think about looks like this. The perfect way to inject a little fun and interest into your wardrobe is through pops of bright colour. This outfit started off with these shoes that I fell in love with from River Island last year. I just loved that bright blue colour and jeweled bow. I mean, who doesn't love a fancy bedazzled bow?! They totally reminded me of a dupe for the Manolo Blahnik version but a fraction of the cost and I'm ALL about finding the look for less if I can. So, these bright blue beauties literally sat in my closet collecting dust (sad, I know) for over a year before I found the right outfit to match. When I stumbled across this super adorable dress recently from Simon's I knew it was a match made in style heaven. I can totally see myself getting a lot of wear out of this outfit as the weather gets a tad bit warmer for first communion celebrations, Easter brunches or even evenings out on the town. I can also see myself styling this dress for work with a more work appropriate pair of shoes and a fitted blazer. Hopefully, I've given you a bit of styling inspo on how to integrate bright colours into your wardrobe as well as not being afraid to experiment with a bit of colour to liven things up! I'd love to hear how you've been styling brights into your wardbrobe in the comments below. Oh, and happy spring!
