So, I have a bit of a minor confession to report. I don't know exactly when it happened but I have become totally smitten with polka dots! I've been continuously on the hunt for that ultimate polka dot statement piece and I'm have no doubt that there will be some great ones on sale this Black Friday. There's something very elegant about the ones we've been seeing this fall/winter on the runway by the likes of Rodarte, Carolina Herrera, Michael Kors, Tory Burch and it seems to be a trend that is going to continue long into the spring and summer of 2020. Sometimes it can be a bit intimidating to come up with some fresh ways to style polka dots but I've come up with a couple of styling tips to help. Keep scrolling to learn more!

1) Try pairing a polka dot blouse with a high waisted pair of jeans and statement belt. Then style them with boots with a sky-high heel or a cute pair of your highest heels. This look definitely gives off girl-next-door vibes with a twist!
2) Pair your polka dot piece with another print (think floral or stripes) for a more whimsical and playful look. You might want to pair it with a bold print in similar tones and then tone down the accessories to let the outfit shine!
3) Style your polka dot top or blouse by pairing it with a pencil skirt in a bright hue like siren red or forest green for a lady-like look that is appropriate for work in an office. Simplify your accessories (a la Meghan Markle) and go with nude tones to play up the elegant look.
4) Throw in a pop of polka dots through your accessories like a beautiful scarf you could tie around your neck, ponytail, or handbag for a hint of a statement.
